Soggiorno molto buona.
Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Housing molto ben posizionato!
Grazie mille !!
Très bon séjour.
Bon rapport qualité-prix. Logement très bien placé!
The apartment, located in Prati north of the Vatican is well located for discovering Rome by foot, bus or subway.
Close to the apartment you will find nice restaurants (I recommend the OSTERIA DELL' ANGELO, Via G. Bettolo 24-32), the Trionfale covered Market and a Coop-Supermarket where you will find everything you might need for your stay.
The Apartment is conform to the description and the photos on this site. It is quite small but the space is sufficient for one or 2 people. The problems with the shower, mentioned in some reviews seem to be resolved - I didn't had any problems. The kitchen is very sparsely furnished (during my stay there was only one espresso maker as cooking vessel).
The apartment is directed to a courtyard, so the street noise is barely audible. Your tranquility might be disturbed sometimes by your immediate neighbors because the apartment was part of an bigger apartment, today split in two entities rented to tourists.
With this small reservation, I've enjoyed my stay.
the shower was clogged.
toilet paper, soap and garbage bags were missing.
difficult to unlock the door every time.
the elevator only usable with two keys.
respond to emails late, so had to wait a few hours before the door.
cost a bit too high.
Room is located near Vatican and shopping street.
looks sweet and nice. most things you need are there
3-4 (train)stops from the center.
metro 5-10 min away by feet
air conditioning and located in quiet area.
The apartment is less than 10mn walk from the Vatican Museum but still 25mn from Piazza Navona. It is fairly small especially if you are 3 people. There was an issue with the shower evacuation that could not get solved even after the intervention of the owner. But Simone seemed very nice and tried to help.
Arrival and tips:
This is our report about "Princess Luxury St. Peter", a very little cute apartment less than 5 minutes to walk from "Cipro", a metro station. If you are arriving by plane at the airport, you can take one of the busses to the train station "Termini" (4 - 5 euro, but watch out: the bus will also stop in "Ostiense", don't leave to early ;-). After your arrival in Termini take the metro (maybe you call it "subway") to the Cipro station. You'll get a subway-ticket on the next snack-stall (there's always one in the near) and it'll cost you 1,50 Euro.
We arrived in Cipro station and someone was waiting for us on the way to the apartment, gave us the keys and that's it. As you can see on the pictures there's only one living room with the bed, beneath a little table and two chairs. You will find a mini-kitchen, only just enough space that one person can stand in it and can prepare food, but you're on vacation, who needs a big kitchen (we didn't) ;-) The bath is also small (you can see it on the pictures) but enough for one person. The shower is not the best, water drains off VERY slowly. Also we ran out of toilet paper at the 3rd day and had to buy some new.
We spent one week in Rome and this little apartment was very nice to stay in, sure it could be a little bit cleaner (at least you pay 35€ for final cleaning) but all in all it was very nice, I think it's typically Italian and the inner yard is also very beautiful.
But there is one big minus-point, so one star less:
What you have to know: this apartment consists two apartments, both separated and locked for itself, but if someone arrives or leaves the apartment he/she will pass your apartment and will open the main apartment door (which is use for both of the small apartment’s residents). Walls are very thin so this place is really sensitive. One day our neighbors came home from a night tour (drunk of course) at 4 a. m. and it was really scary. I almost got a heart attack out of sleep when they unlocked the main door and I thought someone is coming to our room. They did a little bit party and conversation, ok that was our misfortune. But also when they left in the middle of the night (I guess to arrive an early plane) and they tried to get their luggage through the small door it was very annoying and loud.
Location and tips:
The Location is very good if you want to start to the main sights in Rome. To Vatican (10 minutes) and castle St. Angelo (15 minutes) you can go by foot, the remaining sights are easy reachable by subway.
If you want to buy some food and drinking there's a Mercado on the big traffic circle in front of Cipro subwaystation.
You will find easily a lot of cafeterias to do a nice "Italian breakfast" (as we've done every day): cappuccino and a biscuit like a croissant with or without chocolate (2 Euro or less each person).
If you want to go (10 minutes by foot) to a nice place to eat pizza, a little bit away from the most tourists google for "Il Peperoncino Dispettoso, Viale delle Medaglie D'Oro, 158" :)
And another good tip, if you want to see forum romanum and colosseum: DON'T BUY YOUR TICKET AT THE COLOSSEUM! If you see the long line of waiters in front of the colosseum you'll know what I mean. There is a default ticket for forum romanum AND colosseum which takes effect for two days. Buy your ticket at forum romanum (we waited less than 10 minutes) and you have two options: visit forum romanum today and colosseum the next day (as we have done it) or turn around immediately and go back to the colosseum line (which is 100 meter away), pass the line and go directly to the entrance where you don't have to wait.[...]
After a visit a Vatican please don't miss to eat a delicious icecream on the old bridge gelateria (search on tripadivsor for the exact location, it's in the near of the side exit gate for the pope at vatican wall) to find the best ice for a very good price in this area.
We hope you'll find this recommendation helpful.
